Delete your account
You can delete your Samen Clean account and all your data at any time. You can do this directly in the app, or by email if you no longer have the app.
In the app (immediately)
- Open the app (on your phone it's called SC) and go to Profile.
- Scroll to Privacy and tap Delete everything.
- Confirm twice. Want to keep your data? Download it first with Download my data.
Your account and data are deleted immediately and permanently, on your phone and on the server. Everything then disappears from server backups within 14 days.
What is deleted?
- On your phone: your habits, check-ins, mood, triggers, XP, badges, settings, keys and recovery code.
- On the server: your account, push token, group memberships, keys and encrypted backup. Groups where you were the only member are removed entirely.
What isn't gone right away: encrypted messages you already sent to a group are stored on the server without a sender. We can't identify or read them. They disappear on their own within 30 days. Group members may still have on their phones what they saw from you earlier.
Please note: a Plus subscription runs through the App Store or Google Play. Deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it in the subscription settings of your App Store or Google Play account.
Without the app
Do you still have your recovery code? Install the app on a device, choose Restore with recovery code and then delete everything under Profile.
Don't have your recovery code anymore? Then nobody can open your encrypted data. Send a request to info@adswebservices.nl with your account ID if you have it (it's in your data download). We'll delete what's on the server within 30 days and let you know when it's done. As we don't know your email address or name, we sometimes can't link an account to you. An account unused for 24 months is removed automatically.
We can't erase data on a phone you no longer have.
